Team‑GPT — Real Podcast Launch + “Fake Podcast” Shorts Engine

We designed and launched Team‑GPT’s podcast in two tracks: a traditional, long‑form show (8 episodes in Season 1) for authority and depth, and a “fake podcast” shorts engine (100+ clips) for daily reach.

Together, they establish a clear founder voice, fuel the YouTube channel, and loop attention back to core products and the course.

Approach

Format strategy: Real podcast for credibility and retention; fake podcast for velocity and volume

Editorial: Problem-first hooks, frameworks, examples, and clear recap CTAs

Production: Lean studio workflow; block-shooting to capture multiple long-form topics and 10–15 shorts per session

Post: Tight pacing, chapter markers, bold captions, on-screen headlines, and vertical adaptations for Shorts/TikTok/Reels

Distribution: YouTube first, then LinkedIn/TikTok/Instagram repurposing with platform-native hooks

Challenge

We needed to launch a credible, founder-led podcast while also creating a high-volume shorts engine—without diluting message quality. The goals were to establish authority fast, drive daily discovery, and loop attention back to core product.

That meant solving for consistent production, clear editorial focus, and distribution that works across YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok—on startup timelines and budgets.

Key challenges we addressed

  • Authority vs. volume: Balance deep, trust-building long-form episodes with a scalable “fake podcast” shorts stream.
  • Clear positioning: Define a repeatable story arc (problem → framework → examples → recap) to avoid “ramble-casts.”
  • Consistency under constraints: Block-shooting and a lean studio setup to hit a weekly cadence with minimal downtime.
  • Hook science: Nail 2–3 second intros, on-screen headlines, and captions for silent autoplay and cross-platform use.
  • Visual identity: Thumbnails, lower thirds, and title cards that read at a glance and stay consistent across formats.
  • Non-spammy CTAs: Drive to course and channel pillars without breaking the editorial value of the content.
  • Repurposing logic: Edit each long-form session into 10–15 shorts with platform-native crops and pacing.
  • Measurement loop: Track retention, hook drop-off, and CTR to iterate topics, pacing, and packaging.
  • Guest dependency: Reduce reliance on external guests early on by using the “fake podcast” format for momentum.
  • SEO + discoverability: Titles, descriptions, and chapters optimized for search and suggested-video surfaces.

Deliverables

  • Season 1: 8 full podcast episodes (16:9)
  • Shorts engine: 100+ “fake podcast” clips (9:16 + 1:1), thumbnails, and headline variants
  • Branding: Lower thirds, title cards, and thumbnail system for recognition

Then we consulted the company on building there in-house podcast studio for quick and authentic recordings.
